Ok so its close enough to my start date……

I totally still don’t believe this is real, but on Wednesday I start working for a company i NEVER thought i could work for. I’m starting at Sitecrafting, a small web development company in Tacoma, WA. No more long ass commute, bait and switch and three sets of politics to deal with. SO STINKING STOKED!So now i have to answer a few questions about myself so they can go out in a newsletter/ get published into my company profile. I really hate talking about myself in this way, i always have. Senior year i dropped AP history, not because it was too hard, rather the first assignment was a 5 page paper on MY history. i honestly am more nervous about these dumb questions than I am about my first day. I will be a Quality Assurance/System Administrator Support Tech, basically support for the whole team in two key areas that are VERY VERY swamped. It will push me in several directions all at once and I honestly cannot wait. After the disaster that was my job at NSCC I honestly need to stretch my brain a bit, no more A/V wiring and waiting to use my skills to make the boss look good but only when she thinks its  a good idea. The commute was my official reason for leaving, but the politics between the business office, the faculty, and finally the union got to be too much. If you try and strech your wings without and emergency and you are swatted back down.  If you see an issue that no one else cares to tackle because its not in your job description, but can and will cost the entire institution a ton you are told to ignore it. Now that’s not to say there was not good that came out of my 9 months up in North Seattle, the guys I worked with were great. Willing to go that extra mile even if it will not be appreciated and or cared about. I will miss working with those guys and wish them smooth sailing.

Ok im dead tired, so i guess these damn questions will have to wait till morning. 😉
